Thrift Tease Makeover: From Geek To Chic

Hey there BeauGorgeous! Hope everyone is fine and having a fabulous time! I was off blogtown for a day... internet went MIA, it almost gave me the worst day ever... but it turned out just fine... I took a day off "tech-world" and spend it planting some tomatoes...yup tomatoes, I just hope I get to grow them and no, they were not virtual tomatoes...like I said...internet went MIA. But glad I'm back!...so, today, I thought I'd share some thrift tease transformation...and of course another Epic Eyelash Fail...
Create the look: How to transform from Geek

to CHIC...

FACE

EYES
x1-apply on your brows and define it with a brown eyebrow pencil.

x3 - apply on the upper part of your brows and on the brow bone.

x1-apply on the entire lid towards the brows
x2- apply lightly on the the eyelids to create a nice gradient effect
x3- apply on the crease
x4-apply over your black eyeliner and blending it towards the eyelid below the crease.

x1-contour the cheeks applying lightly underneath your cheekbone and on the jaw line.
x2-highlight the your upper cheekbone and the upper jaw line to emphasize the cheeks and define the jaw line.

I used the KMA blush that I bought(and re-potted) from a year ago.

Use the darkest shade to apply over the side of your nose. Then highlight your upper cheekbone and your T-zone.

LIPS

then slightly dab your lips with your favorite lipstick.
I used Natural Collection-Berry Sorbet by Boots

There's my thrift tease transformation. Note that the products I used are drugstore products. So go ahead get yourself a "drugstore-glam"... and remember...JUST SMILE, it doesn't cost anything. And oh guess who wants to say HELLO....

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE!

Thrift Tease: Face of the Day

Hey BeauGorgeous! here's another everyday makeup that I love for the moment. I know I still have to do more "tries" on contouring  my nose, and if you noticed I kind of lost my eyelashes... putting it on would yet remain the biggest challenge for me... i know... story of my life.

Create the Look:

Have a fantastic Weekend!

BACk to school thrift tease: Makeup essentials

Hey BeauGorgeous! I know I haven't been back with  our Thrift Tease Make Up Ideas... Got  very busy with school... and this time I'm going back to school as a T.E.A.C.H.E.R I know so many "faces", But can't help it. Can I...? I love SCHOOL whether I get to be a teacher or a student no much difference... it's just GREAT being both!

Well anyway... thought I'd go on a shopping spree and get my self some basic makeup stash for school... but then again... I am BIG on thrifting so I ended up raiding my drawers and here's what I got ...

 Pond's BB Cream
BSC BB Cream
Sheene MakeUp Base
Sheene BB Compact Powder
As much as I would love to buy some new makeup basics for school... I remember I bought these products few months ago and have loved using them just the same as the other beauty products. So I figured I'd save some "funds" if I'd used it again rather than buying more products which would work just the same.

I always go for a non-heavy, fresh and no-makeup effect when it comes to school makeup specially if I would be teaching "non-stop". So, for my eye shadow... I use the IN2IT Eye Color palette in ESC o3 Sorbet deluxe. I know you  probably have seen this so many times on my -makeup post- but the point is... I still got the cute colors that I like to wear for school so there's no need  to put on my "Watson Leprechaun Hat" not just yet... and I also found this Cheek Color by Botanics that I got from 3 years ago... yup three years ago..., and yes, I hardly use it... guess I forgot I even have it... so before it goes "no use". I give my makeup 5 years lifespan or more ;) before it hit the bin. Except for Mascaras and Eye Liners which I consistently change within 2-3 months.

... of course current essentials
Canmake EyeBrow Kit.
IN2IT Moisture Intense Lipstick in MI 06 Roses
Sheen Bewitched Mascara  which I often switch-use with the Revlon Hyper Curl Mascara
Maybelline  Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer
I am not that big on concealer, but it does help conceal some undereye discoloration due to those times you need to stay up all night... lesson plans and class preps!
and of course my favorite Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eye liner .
There goes my Back to School Makeup Haul... from my Drawer ;) So,  what are your back to school Thrift Tease Challenge...
Have a wonderful Day!

Thrift Tease Challenge: No makeup trend

Good morning BeauGorgeous! I know, I know it seems like I am slacking on my post these days... not to make excuses but I am too hooked up on chasing my dreams these days that I quite find it not so simple doing lots of task at the same time. But then again, blogging got to be one of my top prioritize cause I totally, totally don't want to miss you my beauties... so moving on... I just want to share my "no make-up" routine that I am loving these days.
...but first you need to give your skin some extra care since you wouldn't be needing too much coverage as to foundation (that is if you are like me who hates packing on too many layers of foundation and concealer)

Applying makeup on a dry skin wouldn't make you get the most of out of it. Make sure that you apply a small amount of moisturizer. I have combination oily skin so between "weathers" I switch to Garnier Sakura White (since I am giving it a test drive) and on a worst oil day... I used the Garnier Light Oil Control.

Apply a Primer. There's a lot of primer out there, but I have been using my favorite L'oreal Base Magique transforming smoothing primer that I bought almost a year ago. Then I apply a thin amount of BB cream. I use the Lucent Magique BB cream by L'oreal.

CREATE THE LOOK:
1- Use the darkest shade to fill the gaps in your brows and line it to define the shape.
2- Contour the side of your nose and highlight the nose bridge to create a slimmer nose.

credit to google image
3- x1 Apply all over your lid towards the brow bone.
3-x2 Apply all over your lid.
3-x3 Apply on the crease.
Again, always remember to blend the color to create that natural soft effect.
4- Use the darkest shade to contour your face to create a slimmer and more defined face.

5- Dab lightly on the apples of your cheek.
6- Set you makeup by lightly brushing over a thin amount of powder.

7- Curl your lashes and swipe a small amount of mascara.
8-Finish off with your favorite neutral lipstick.

Note: This is not a sponsored feature and yup most of the products I used are drugstore brands that I purchased from months ago. So go ahead retrieve those makeup that you had from  a long time ago (okay maybe not too long time ago...makeup do expire) and challenge yourself to a thrift-makeup-trend.

So there BeauGorgeous another thrift challenge Tuesday from a Thrift fanatic!

How to save on beauty products

Keeping up with the "beauty trend" can be very demanding. Everywhere you turn your eyes to beauty products are popping like mushrooms, and if it can be translated to food... we'd already be in "hell" for gluttony... or not ;) Well, I am not saying there's something wrong with keeping up with the latest should-be's, what-should and what-nots, I for one get my hands itchy over those eye-candy yummies we often see at magazines, reviews and beauty sites. And I'd say... go ahead dig your hands in it after all it's always about what makes us beautiful. Isn't it? But then again if you find yourself caught and buried in too many half used and even un-used beauty products and find your self "guilting" over it... maybe it's time to consider a few things next time you find yourself "wanting".
# 1 - take an inventory of what you already have before you hit buy. The honest truth is we can't really consume that much makeup products the way trends change. So, go for a makeup combination that really suits your personality, what occasions and situations your usually wear them... example work, business meetings, night outs and parties.
# 2 - Make-Up go to. Classic and "near-natural" makeup effects often stays no matter how the trend train rushes through. Besides, it's also a more appropriate makeup to wear to school or work. So, it's practical to invest on a good set of neutral makeup color.
credit to http://www.everythingetcetera.com

# 3 - Date Nights. If you are someone who likes to "play" a little and often spice up your look for date nights... romantic makeup look that really makes the man drool (okay gross).... maybe not... say... want to sweep you on your feet... not want you to sweep their floor ... go for a look that really complements your face. Know thy self... you can call it vain, plain narcissist, but sometimes comparing your face structure to someone famous helps to determine what makeup look exactly fits your profile. And then invest on a color palette that would help you transform to the look that you are going for. One thing I learn... consistency is not bad when it comes to makeup. Go for something that really brings out the beautiful. Unless you feel like walking the "runway" everytime.
credit to http://safrinanoor.skyrock.com/

# 4 - Enjoy while you can. If you already found the holy grail of beauty that suits your skin type and your personality. stick with it while you can. That way you "maximize" the use of it as well as avoid the risk of skin infections and allergy due to trying on too many products. Unless, again, you "hobbied" on testing and reviewing products.
# 5 - The good-worn-out-to-the-truth phrase "less is more". The golden rule of beauty "always let your natural comes out". So if you find yourself stressing over because you can't sometimes take the rushing trend train... don't worry about it... you can always get the next ride.
Have a Beautiful Weekend BeauGorgeous!

Thrift Tease: New Garnier Sakura White

Hey Beaugorgeous! hope you guys are having a wonderful time. I was at the grocery and noticed that Garnier, once again came out with another product called Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Moisturizing Cream. So I thought I'd grab a sample size and give it a try... another plus to my  Garnier beauty stash ;)  It has SPF 21/PA +++ and has Sakura extract which the label claims to reduce melanin synthesis which helps fight skin darkening as well as refine the skin texture and smoothens the pores... I know...anything that says "pores" in it... I'd probably take it without any second thoughts... and then again... i love Garnier so I have to try this new product. And of course give me a little time to try it out and as always I'll get back for a more intimate review on it.
and since I was already there I decided to try their Light Brightening Eye Roll-on  which claims to reduce eye bags and dark circles. It also has a massaging roller which massage and naturally drain the cause of eye bags and dark circles. The product also contains caffeine in it since accordingly, caffeine contains stimulating properties on microcirculation as well as it contains B5 which helps hydrate the skin under the eyes. I have been not-sleeping enough lately due to caffeine...so I'd rather rub it on my eye bags then... rather than gulp it like crazy and instead give myself that well deserve sleep I've been eluding lately.
So there goes my modest thrift tease haul for today and please stay tone tune for more thoughts on these products after I have given it a try.
Have a wonderful Wednesday Thursday BeauGorgeous! and remember...

Friday Date Night: Easy Drugstore Makeup Nude Effect

It's Friday date night and I decided to play a little… with my makeup that is. So this time… I did a few "first times". I was always scared to do the winged tip eyeliner but with a little help from youtube ... I hope I got it right. Then comes the false eyelashes, yes girl friends I am an eyelash virgin ;) after a few minutes of "gluing"  (why does it look so easy when others do it) I decided to just keep it on... but I guess I may still have to do more practice with it... Daiso Eye lashes... here I come!!! Oh well, caught some sparkle on the hubahubster's eyes when he saw me coming down the stairs... so I guess I can say... Mission Accomplished!
Here's what I used:

Have a great weekend BeauGorgeous!

Skin Care Routine: Garnier Essential Kit

Goodmorning BeauGorgeuos! Hope everyone is having a fantastic Thursday.
Taking care of my face has since become an important part of my routine. And oh don't worry about it there's no major procedure done here... just a few essentials that I found pretty effective. So here's my Garnier Essential Beauty Kit...
My Night Routine:

I wash my face with Garnier Pure Active Purifying Salicylic Acid + Herbal Repair. The product claims to visibly fights 6 signs of acne. Since I have combination oily skin and is prone to acne, I found this product a treasure. And it eliminates makeup without using any makeup remover. I just do a 3 round wash up, and makeup is gone.
I have recently been using the Garnier Pure Active Multi Action Toner. It claims to get rid of imperfections (too bad doesn't get rid of my nose...sigh) but it should help remove blackheads, pimples and redness. I started using a toner since the pores on my face are getting visible. And toner helps tighten the skin as well as unclogged the pores. I have been using this for just a few dabs so I might get back on you with the result. Please give the mwah a little time to test it out.

I've been so in love with this product right now.  The Garnier Light complete. It does lightens your skin and get rid of dark spots.  I am into a couple of jars now, and I must say... I am definitely getting more of this product.

I often time switched between using my favorite Ponds to Garnier Light Oil Control Herbal White Complex + UVA/UVB filters. It has an 8 hours oil/shine free look.  I used this during the summer when my face usually get very oily. I used this underneath a BB Cream or a primer.

And there goes my not so complicated skin care routine. What's your favorite skin care essential?

Have a great day Beauties!

Hi there BeauGorgeous! like I promised here's my Thrift Tease Haul for the month of May...
 KMA Fairy Dimension Face Base

 Pure Mineral Concealer by Maybelline.
A lot of beauties have been talking about this product so I thought I'd give it a try.

 Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Toner
It claims to visibly fight 6 signs of acne. Although I don't get acne so often, I do have problems with pores and the fact that I have an oily combination skin. And since the product claims to tighten pores... I have to try it.
Some cute nail art stuff that I got from the side walks of Siam.

 Colgate Optic White
This is where I say, I gave in to peer pressure. Seems like everyone is talking about this so I grab one and see for myself.
Audace Reactive Shampoo
It claims to "generate hair growth and prevents hair fall due to hair stress, undernourishment, scalp disorders and inflammation of the hair roots." My scalp had been acting badly these days due to the hot humid summer weather  it gross me out already... y'know what I mean ;) so I thought I'll switch to treatment and see how it works.
And there's my Haul Sneak Peek for today. Please stay tune for more intimate reviews on this products... like I always said... gimme-more-time to try it out.

Thrift Tease: MakeUP Bloopers

I know I got very excited yesterday and may have made a mistakes... one thing I learn from it...don't get overly excited and... and do this....

okay, okay, I got really excited, thought I'd give variation a chance... but I don't know what you think... is the 80's back?' well, I wasn't really sure so I went over BlogTown and see what the EXPERTS say about it.

Here are makeup do's and don'ts that I've gathered from the PRos:

DON'T  grab just any color you fancy and swipe it on your face, specially eyeshadows, as if you are in kindergarten art class. Consider the colors that would match your eyes as well as the whole look you are aiming for. Photos that are in the covers of  magazines definitely looks gorgeous, but you might want to create a subtle version one you can actually wear everyday.
DO always wear the foundation of your shade. Consider your skin tone. Think of make-up as something that enhances what you already have not a mask. In doing so, foundation is the main key factor to consider. Don't just grab any foundation just because it's what everyone is raving about. Find out what different beauty experts say about it and most of all know what shade works for you.

If your skin is a little dry, DO apply a moisturizer to soften it that way it is easy for the make-up products that you are using to blend in your skin making it look more natural a "no-makeup" look effect.
DO remember that blue eyeshadows is something you wear when you feel like going "mardi gra". But NO, not everyone get to "work it" so, reminder to self, DO stay away from BLUE shades.

So, I went over the things I did yesterday...(except the foundation. I used the SUNGRACE White UV LIQUID Foundation) and here's the look I came up with...

This time I used a lot of "blending in the colors" applying subtle colors one after another to get the "smoothen" and gradient effect fit for everyday make-up look.

There's my make-up look for today BeauGorgeous and please stay tune for more of my MAKEUP ADVENTURES!

Have a Beautiful Thursday BeauGorgeous

Thrift Tease: teal shade of summer

I  took a little adventure today and thought I'd experiment with something I don't usually do...to experiment with colors... eyeshadow that is... aside from my usual "naturals" and "light". I got inspired by a lovely friend who blogs @ http://zauberinazebulon.blogspot.com she makes gorgeous eye makeup ideas, and although I couldn't  steal the look exactly... I came up with my own version...

Brushes I used:
 1- Lid Color Brush
2 - Smudge Brush
3 - Crease/blending Brush
Blush Brush

Create the Look:

Prep your face with a Primer - I used the L'oreal Base Magique transforming smoothing primer.
Apply a small amount of foundation. I use the Naturally Matt Foundation by 2000 Collection and since I don't have "the"beauty blender, I used an ordinary face sponge and spray it with a little bit of water to blend the foundation. Remember, when using foundation on a hot summer weather, a teenie dot goes a long way.

CANMAKE Eyebrow Kit. Use the darkest shade to brows using the tool that comes with it.

Using the 4U2 I-Pro Professional Eye Make-Up Palette...
1 - apply the (teal) shade on the crease blending smoothly towards the browbone using the crease brush
2 - apply the (deep pink) shade on the upper eyelids to highlight the eyes using the lid color brush
3 - apply on the browbone using the smudge brush
Blend the colors using the same smudge brush to create smoothen the harsh lines.

Line the upper and lower eyelids with a dark blue eyeliner. I used the Flawless Eye Pencil by 17.

Apply a liquid Eyeliner over the upper eyelid. I used the HyperGlossy Liquid Eyeliner by Maybelline. And smudge the lower eyelids with the same crease brush used to shade the crease of your eyes.

Apply a blush on your cheeks tapping it lightly to create a light and even look. I used the KMA blush (repotted)

"Seal" your makeup with a setting or loose powder. Again, I used the Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder in Nude Beige SPF 18

Curl the lashes and apply your favorite Mascara.

Dab your lips with your favorite lip color  and apply a pink lip gloss over it. I used the IN2IT moisture intense lipstick in MI 06 rose and Sexy Shimmer Kiss Lipgloss by 4U2.

There's my eyeshadow color adventure for today. Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Thrift Tease: Summer Quickie

Hey BeauGorgeous! Hope all of you beauties are having a wonderful day! It's a hot summer weather where I am and wearing makeup is kind of a bit challenging... so today I thought of doing a quick transformation from wearing nothing... I mean no makeup...to a quick summer makeup look which requires no effort at all...so....
how to transform from this
whooaaaa....okay no need to panic, same person here...
and you may get back on your seats ;) L O L

to this... Bhaym!!

9 VERY QUICK AND EASY STEPS
D I M (did it myself) *nail art* was inspired after I had a cone of Ice Cream. Just apply bright summer colors one after the other, and you don't need to be careful, the more it looks like it's a mess and dripping, the more you get the "message" across. ;)
moving on....
 1. Since it's quite hot, I decided to skip the foundation and BB cream routine and instead use the Sweet Dream Quick Step Whitening by Cathy Doll.
 2. Then set it with your favorite setting powder. I used  the Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder in Nude Beige

3. CANMAKE Mix Eyebrow Kit - Use the darkest color to shade the brows using the tool that comes with it.
 4. Oriental Princess Beneficial Multiple Rouge Compact Face Colours (Orange Choco)
use the Orange shade and dab on the upper eye lids. Blend nicely to create a gradient transition towards the browbone.
 5.  17 FLAWLESS Eye Pencil Intense Kohl Liner - Apply on the lids and on the lower eyelids.

6. Gemtone 4U2 Topaz 4 Color Eyeshadow - Use a smudge brush and dab the "Orange" shade over the eyeliner on the lower eyelids to smoothen harsh lines.
 7. Curl the lashes and apply a single coat of MAYBELLINE Hyper Curl Volume Express Waterproof Mascara.
 8. Apply a bronzer/blush under the apples of your cheeks - I use the KMA blush (repotted)
 9. And dab your lips with your favorite lipstick in Natural Color. I use the
Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick in Pearl 616 Wink for Pink
So there goes a quick Summer Transformation. Have a great day Beaugorgeous!

Thrift Tease: Out of the Treasure box

It's been a while since I had the chance to lurk at the flea market. So when hubahubster finally needs to get his haircut next to the flea market...yup we get our hair done at a nearby market and it's amazing how people can make you beautiful, no cost at all. Even treats you to a scalp and shoulder massage, stuffs they do beyond what you expected to pay for. And what is really great about it you feel beautiful. Well, that's just me... I'd always prefer people treating me special not because I paid for it, but because they really are nice and treats you like they would have done it to family. So, that makes me trust that kind of service... and besides, beauty is never really expensive. No. 1, you already have it...No. 2 it's how you feel about yoursefl and No. 3 it's the little "nice" attitude that you thrown in that makes all the difference. So, Smile, You know it's Free.
...anyhu, here's what I got...
  fancy earring @ 20 Baht/piece
and while I was at the local seven eleven shop to get my favorite treat of Mango Yogurt Smoothie
I grabbed these quite interesting beauty creams (sample sizes) and thought I'd give it a try....
Speed White CC Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ All day Oil Control by Cathy Doll
Sweet Dream Quick Step Whitening water splash L- glutathione  by Cathy Doll
(for some reason, my eyebrows just raise by itself when I read glutathione but well, the G word (Gluta) has alreayd been out in the market for quite some time... so why not try what everybody has already been raving about.
Black Heads cleansing White Clay Mask by Cathy Doll

and oh the nail polish that i was wearing was the one I got from a local grocery store and I just happen to like it since it dries quickly and usually if I do a DIM (Do it Myself) on my nails, I'd end up with so many bubbles on my nail polish and it's so ugly. But apparently, this nail polish dries really quick. So, another Thrift Tease Treasure!

So there's my Monday Random. And remember...

 HAVE A GREAT WEEK BEAUGORGEOUS!

Thrift Tease: it's a movie date makeup

Since we got married, we always consider movie dates very special since we don't always get to find a teeniebit of time and do it more often... so when the hubahubster asked me out for a date... I wasn't sure whether to say YES or tell him to give me more time to think about it... okay NOT... I was actually "limping" with excitement... honestly, I don't care about the movie... I just love dressing up for the occasion, put on some makeup and get cozy with my man while he enjoys his treat of adrenalin, sometimes confusing dose of movie treat and big screen action.
Create the Look:

I used the L'oreal Base Magique Primer the prep my face then I applied a small amount of Matt Foundation which I just recently bought  to give it a test run. And it does make my face a little bit orange (maybe just picked the wrong shade for my skin tone) but my face did stay matt for a few hours with an occasional dab of a blotting paper.
1 - Apply the darkest color on your brows
2 - Dab a little over your eyebrows
3 - Use as highlight. Apply on the brown bone and all over your eyes as a prime color.

1- Apply on the crease of your eye
2- Dab on the upper crease of your eye
3- Apply on the eyelids
4- Apply on the outer corner of your eye
1- Apply on the lower cheekbone to contour the face
2- Dab on the cheeks
3- Apply on above the cheekbone.
Apply a little mascara on your lashes, a black eyeliner, and dab on your favorite lip color.
Don't forget to blend the colors to create a gradient color transition making your makeup look more natural and not overly done. And of course you can set it with your favorite loose or compact powder.
ThriftTease: Products I used:
Cheeks: 4U2 Make Believe Shade and Highlight/KMA Blush
Face: L'oreal Base Magique/Collection 2000 Naturally Matt Foundation
Brows: CANMAKE Eyebrow Kit
Eyes: In2It Eye Colour Palette in ESC 04 Island Sands
Lash: Maybelline Hyper Curl Volume Express Water Proof Mascara (in case I cry at the end of the movie...which I usually do)
Eyeliner: Natural Collection Eyelines
Lips: In 2 It Moisture Intense Lipstick in MI 06 Rose
So there BeauGorgeous, my movie date makeup. Have a fantastic Day!

Thrift Tease Haul and My first Drugstore matt Foundation

Good Day my BeauGorgeous! as promised, here's w hat I got from my "Watson Digging" the other day and some from the grocery... you know how I love to sneak in some few beauty treats into my grocery basket aside from the usual broccoli and mushroom ;) Well, it's not that much and yes...not pricey cause you know me I am a "thrift tease" and I love "hunting" for products that are not over-the-top-expensive, but works great as well...just to give a few more options than what has already been "raved about" ... so without further blah blah blah and quote 'n quotes... here are my picks and just you know my beaugorgeous...this.is.not.a.sponsored.review... so you may stop raising your eyebrows now ;)
Princess nail color by Christy @ Tesco.
Sweet Lady Enamel Remover by Christy @ Tesco
what is good about this nail enamel remover, is it doesn't have that strong acetone smell so I decided to give it a try. I haven't really used it yet so I may have to find out how it can efficiently and actually remove nail enamel.

Naturally Matt Foundation by Collection 2000.
it claims to provide an all day matt finish and also it contains UVA and UVB sun protection as well. I don't usually prefer a matt finish look but since it's already been raining from where I am and the weather has tamed down to a bit cooler mode, I decided to give it a go and see how it works. Give me a few days to try it out and I will be ready for my intimate opinion about it.
In 2 It Eye Colour Palette in ESC 04 Island Sands.
I love the other quad that I already got so I decided to get another set of colors. Can't wait to experiment  with  different looks I can come up with and of course... I'll share it with you.

In 2 It Moisture Intense Lipstick in MI 06 Roses
No, I am not a lipstick person but since I was already there and I am running out on the first one I got, I grab the first one I liked and thought I'd give it a dab ;)

CANMAKE Mix Eyebrow Kit
I've been wanting to get this for quite a while now and I am very excited to give it a try.
So there, my BeauGorgeous, are my latest finds. If you have any comments about the products or questions please leave a message or send me an email.
Thank you guys and have a Wonderful Monday and an Exciting Week Ahead!
Remember, “Think of all the beauty around you and be happy.”

Beauty Tag: Favorite Makeup

I was tagged by the lovely and gorgeous Marghe @www.zauberinazebulon.blogspot.com  she makes gorgeous eye makeup ideas  which is something you would want to check out!

anyhu, here are the questions from the BeauGorgeous Marghe.

Favorite Foundation
I haven't used any foundation for a long time. However, I was so into BB creams... drug store BB creams, I am a big thrift Tease that is... so for now, I am so madly inlove with the...
L'oreal Lucent Magique BB Cream
What is your favorite Concealer
I didn't really like wearing concealers. If there is something I'd like to conceal, like blemishes or dark spots, (which I usually don't have. thanks to the grail of beauty routine) I just double the amount, in my case, of BB cream on the spot where I want to conceal.
What is your favorite powder?
That would be the Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Pressed Powder in 02 Nude Beige. But I haven't been using it as much as I do since it is so hot where I live right now and packing on too much powder is not a good idea.

So, that's when my favorite paper blotter comes in ;)

My favourite eye base
I usually use a  cream eyeshadow as an eye base.  And I only have one which I use occasionally. I am not a fan of make up base of any kind since I feel like it's too much and to heavy for my skin. Plus where I live where the weather is humid and you are like me who loves to frolic around... make up doesn't really stays longer. base or no base... well, without further blah, blah here it is...
The Oriental Princess Beneficial Multiple Rouge Compact Face Colours
and I can also say this is my favorite cream eye shadow as well... you see I am not into so much cream based makeup , I just happen to think that "cream based"  are not good for hot and humid weather maybe unless you have mastered the skills of how to make it work, which I haven't so... no-oh, not much cream base ;) for me

Favourite eyeshadow palette
I love my eye shadow quads and these are my usual 'go-to' for now. The 4 U 2 Gemstone in Topaz and the @ in IT sorbet deluxe. It's handy and easy to carry around in your purse in case a 're-touch' is needed.

Favourite mascara
I don't  currently used one . Mascaras have a tendency to melt in hot weathers and it's horribly-horrible-stingy to the eye. But if I do have to use one, that would be...
The Maybelline Volume Express Lift Up Mascara

Favourite blush/bronzer
My current favorite blushes are the KMA blush that I got as a sample... actually bought it, y'know those unused sample blush trays that they sell for less than half the price ;) ... can't really remember what the names of the colors though...

Favourite lipstick

Thrift Tease: Soap & Glory + L'oreal BB Cream

Good morning my darling BeauGorgeous! Feels like I have been gone for a while... oh wait two days. right? ... well, things are just pretty "hurried" these days... been stretching m'self to get things done... but I guess we can't really  gEt ThiNgs DonE, can wE?
Anyway, as promised, here's my intimate thoughts on the the products that I have been using lately.
 Soap and Glory
The Fab Pore 15-Minutes Intensive-Action Pore Refining Facial Peal
I have been using it for a couple of  weeks now and I can say... I am so looking forward to my next jar. At first I thought it would make my face very oily the next day, like what other peeling products did to my face... but his one doesn't and my skin doesn't have any break-outs since I've been using it. The box does't really indicate how often it can be applied so I use it everyday after I wash my face with my Favorite Facial Cleanser...  It has a minty feel to your skin so it gives you that fresh and cool feeling after you rinse it. I'd say... definitely a MUST TRY!
L'oreal Lucent Magique Skin Lumininating BB Cream
The luminating part really seems intimidating. Usually, products with "luminating" effects had always been a NO for me since I live in a very hot and humid weather plus my  face gets very, very oily... but this one, is my current FAVORITE! perfect for the hot and humid weather, doesn't makes your face oily... well, maybe sweaty but I guess that's normal when you are out frolicking under the summer sun. And yup at first you'll think that it's just any typical moisturizer cause it doesn't look like the usual BB creams... however, the "tint" seems to come in small beads or what they capsules so when you apply it on your face, it dissolves and transform giving your face a smoother look... Not full coverage though.  And I do agree when they say, "It gives you a super light feeling effect, as if you have nothing on your face." so I say, PERFECT!

So there's my thought on my Current Summer Favorite.

Summer Basics

Summer Break is around the corner y'all BeauGorgeous! but before we get too excited, you might want to keep in mind few BASIC things to keep your summer FAB and GLAM minus the "EKKS"

Be Generous with Sunscreen - Burnt skin is not sexy. Not only will it make you look like a toast yummy lobster, it causes lots of skin complications too. And yes, we hear it all the time, too much sun exposure speeds the process of aging...so grab a sunscreen that's  fit for your skin before you head out and bask in the sun.

Give your face extra protection when out and enjoying the sun. The face, if not the most sensitive part of your body, is where we first notice signs of aging so be kind to your face and protect it as much as you can.

Beach Appropriate - Summer may have been the greatest excuse for exposing as much skin as there is in our body, however, it is rather wise to leave other things hidden... although some beaches may have special places that allow "exposure", it is always appropriate to remember that there are people, specially families who wants to enjoy the beach... not being "Strict-Aunt-Nancy" here, but it's always safe to be appropriate.

Make-Up DO's
When it comes to summer make-up, LIGHT is RIGHT

So, here's my Summer Make-up Essentials

"Summer Essentials" product Review Coming Right Up... please stay tune!

ThriftTease Haul: Drugstore Grabs First Impression

I was out burning some calories at the mall today and well... somehow decided to grab some beauty goodies to try. And here are my finds.

TRESemme 24 hour body weightless Lift Root Boosting Spray. I heard a lot of good reviews about this one so I decided to try and find out for myself. This is supposed to create volume on your hair making it look like it's being done in the salon. You know that thing when you left the salon, and you are feeling pretty like all you've got is that nice bouncy hair. Well, lets see about that.
I also grab the L'oreal Lucent Magic BB Skin Luminating BB Cream SPF 20 PA+++ the box claims  to "magically enlivened, transformed, diffusing a lit-from- within-complexion" and it's made for Asian Skin tone. For one, I am a big BB cream fan and would totally give any drugstore BB cream a go if the gurus said it's totally worth it. So, again give the Mwah a little bit time to test drive this BayBeh!

I also got these Story of Happiness Body Cologne Spray by Oriental Princess  I have been using some of their products and this one claims to "provide freshness with long-lasting protection. It is a quick drying alcohol FREE formula that also moisturizes the skin." Okay, honestly... they got me on the packaging. Thought it's a cute thing to carry around in your bag, since it's summer. And well, smells nice too ;) and it's buy one and get another one for 55% less. Obviously tempting....
and I also grab the Soap and Glory Fab Pore Intensive-Action-Pore-Refining Facial Peel. I read a review about this one and thought I might give it a try.
So there goes my ThriftTease Drugstore Haul First Impression. Stay tune for more intimate thoughts on these products.
Have a BeauGorgeous Day Everyone!

Thrift Tease: Top Drawer Drugstore Fave

Hey there BeauGorgeous! it's Thursday Thrift Tease Haul. Top Drugstore Favorites I am loving for the moment.
Citra Pearly White UV Body Lotion - makes your skin beautiful and radiant too... (okay this is what the bottles says)... I have been using this product since I came to Thailand. It wasn't that much pricey way back 8 years ago when I first started using it...but I guess it's that good so I am not complaining...
Dove Advanced Care Ultimate White Anti-Perspirant Deorant -  it has omega 6 in 1/4 moisturizing cream (whatever that is) well, the product claims that it "speeds up skin restoration for lighter skin and works for 24 hrs"
Pond's Age Miracle Cell Regent Day Cream in SPF 15 PA++ for combination skin. It claims to "smoothen and soften skin without the heavy, sticky feel"
Garnier Light Overnight Whitening Peeling Cream - This is my third jar and yup gotto love it .
...and what's in my makeup bag...
I have already post a separate review for these products so you can check out the link.
Pond's BB Cream

Maybelline Foundation Powder
Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara
Revlon Nail Polish 151 Iced Mauve
Revlon Superlustrous Wink for Pink
4U2 Eyebrow Pencil
... and the two blushes are from KMA they were selling Unused blush samples set so I got it for a very fair price, I just transfer the blushes into individual containers ;)
So, there goes my Drugstore essentials. Happy Thriftday Everyone!

Thrifttease: How to Shape your Nose

Hey BeauGorgeous! Finally I get to do some thrifttease review on my latest finds this month. Well, not exactly much but it's what I really wanted to buy for a while now.
Well, I guess part of "the" perfect imperfections that I have and have embraced is my cute little nose…. Okay not that I am not happy with it and don’t get me wrong here…. As I speak for myself… surgery is definitely not an option …not that I have anything against it…it’s just scary for me that’s all…and that everyone has the right to their own alterations…
okay moving on... since I have noticed that "3D" alterations has been very much accepted these days...yup, face sculpting and all, I am more than happy to get my hands on the latest "innovation" on the "painless" nose job... okay maybe it's not the latest... I just didn't get the memo I guest.
anyhu..he re's what I'm talking about....
So, I got very excited (forgive the over enthusiasm) just can't wait to try this and see how it works... and oh to the joy of my litul-tiny-nose.

moving on... I again raided my favorite go-to drugstore The Watsons... and no, this is not a sponsored endorsement so please be done with the raised eyebrows... I grab this gorgeous contouring set that I find practically affordable

The Make Believe 4U2 shade and highlight - it comes in a very cute box with a pop up... you really got to see this...
...and okay I admit... they got me on the pop up thing... but the product is worth the try. The box claims that it's suitable for any skin types and it also comes with an easy to follow directions on how to shade the face... or you can learn from gorgeous beauty gurus on youtube.
I also got the CANMAKE NOSE SHADOW POWDER kit. It comes with a shading and a highlight powder and a brush. The kit also comes with a short direction on the back of the case but again, different facial shapes may need different techniques on contouring.
So there goes ...and I'll get back for more "show and tell" on how it works for me.

Have a BeauGorgeous Week... and remember

ThriftTease 2013 #1- Grab A Bejazzled

This is my first haul of the year ... I know, I know I really didn't get that much to think that it was the season of discounts and year end sale. Well... I don't really want to point my finger and do the blame game here... but my mom came and she did all the shopping while I... like any good daughter would... carried her bags as she fancied hopping around shop after shop ...and that really didn't give me much chance ey?... but I sure had the best time ever! thanks for the visit mom and dad!
So here's what I got...
fancy earrings I got from a wholesale store @ 50 Baht/piece (nickel and lead free)
fancy rings I got from a thrift vendor @ 150 baht/piece
... and while I was doing some year end over-all-house-clean up I found these eye shadows which I got from a year ago... this is not really something that I bought recently but I do tend to forget things I bought and end up not using them... and since it's going to be very hot in the summer (it is hot and humid here all the time) ... I would be using a lot of these since I noticed that products that are more talc-ish in consistency tends to stay longer and somehow defies oily skin.

I do have my eyes set on some drugstore products and some "necessary" things that I would definitely need... in the future... if not insanely-impulsively right now. Yup, I did "resolute" myself to only prioritize what I really need and to always think what is practical for now at all times. So wish list it is...

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector SPF 30

Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Flared Waterproof Mascara

I can't wait to 'grab' and try these products and I would be posting "intimate" reviews of products that I have been loving so far... please allow me more time.
